Best neighborhoods in Copenhagen for families?

Looking at Frederiksberg vs Østerbro — would love input from anyone with young kids. Main things we care about: getting a daycare spot without a two-year wait, a safe cycling route to school, and not paying quite so much that we can never visit home. Open to areas we have not thought of.

Østerbro if you want the parks and can stretch the budget; Frederiksberg has the better daycare availability in my experience. Also look at Valby — cheaper and quietly excellent for families.
